ConnectEd Tutor Agreement
By completing this agreement, I confirm that I understand and agree to the following expectations as a ConnectEd tutor:
- I agree to a minimum 5-session commitment to ConnectEd.
- I have joined the ConnectEd Discord server and agree to be responsive to staff within 24–48 hours.
- I agree to communicate with staff if I am unable to attend a scheduled tutoring session.
- I understand that if I miss multiple sessions without an excused absence, I may be removed from the program.
- I have completed the ConnectEd Tutor Onboarding Course and agree to maintain the quality expectations outlined in the course.
- I agree to be prepared for my tutoring sessions and make an active effort to help my student learn.
- I agree to treat my students, their families, other tutors, and ConnectEd staff with respect and professionalism.
- I agree to maintain appropriate boundaries with students and follow ConnectEd's safety expectations.
- I agree to report any behavioral, safety, or other serious concerns to ConnectEd staff immediately.
- I agree to communicate honestly with staff about attendance, student concerns, and any issues that may affect my tutoring.
- I understand that I am responsible for maintaining the quality of my tutoring throughout my time with ConnectEd, not just during onboarding.
- I understand that failure to follow ConnectEd's expectations may result in removal from the program.
By signing this agreement, I confirm that I have read, understood, and agreed to the expectations above.
Media & Photo Release
ConnectEd is a student-led nonprofit, and the most powerful thing we have is proof that this is real — real students showing up, real connections being made, and real learning happening. Photos and screenshots from our sessions help us tell that story on our public website, in sponsorship materials, and in grant applications.
We keep it minimal: only a first name and grade level may ever appear alongside a photo. We will never publicly share a full legal name, school name, age, email address, or phone number.
